History of Piñatas

The Piñata was invented by the Native Mexicans and for centuries they have been using Piñatas for all sorts of occasions, even before the arrival of the Spanish in South America.
The Piñata has always been known worldwide for it's fun and with it's hidden rewards makes it a memorable game for children and adults alike.

First a queue is formed and each participant is given a turn to be blind folded and then has it strike the Piñata three times with a baton, if the Piñata does not break another person is given a turn. When the Piñata breaks and it's contents being sweets, flavours etc fall to the ground, everybody scrambles to grab their share of the treasures.

Busta Piñata makers of traditional and unique Piñatas are well known and loved by children, adults and corporations alike, for all our zany creations and great service.

Please Note: There are many different statements made about where the Piñata originated from and it is impossible to be 100% sure which is correct.
The history of the Piñata featured in this website is based on the most popular information sourced.
